about

A little stream of consciousness about this track:
First, we awaken to or realise that our actions are 'harming' the earth - the destruction and human dominance of nature - the felling of forests, over-consumption, over-development. We also realise that it will be the human race that will lose in the long run and that mother nature will withstand anything we do, will recover with time, even when humans no longer exist.
The next part is about coming back to mother nature and realising her beauty and her wonders, and perhaps a new way of living, realising we are part of the ecosystem - each of us in our own body is an ecosystem and we can restore some harmony within ourselves to live more meaningful lives in harmony with nature.
That there are turbulent times ahead (now) and that as a human family, we must stick together, to find other that share our new understanding and support each other through the change.
That we have moved through the change, a huge paradigm shift, and perhaps a new way of living as conscious beings has been realised, yet there is still much healing to do in the memory (or shadow) of our ancestors, our past, our consciousness.

lyrics

Forgive me mother nature
We have no respect left for you
We have taken it all down
And now we're drowning
It won't be you that wont survive.

Help me mother nature
I'm lost and i've fallen for ya
My love for you is eternal

We must stick together
in this stormy weather
One night in the jungle
I will not fall, i will not fumble

See me mother nature,
We've left it all behind
In the shadows
Of our consciousness

Forgive me mother nature ...
Coz i cant sleep...
Give me a sign...
Just to help me accept this

about

Leopold's Treat Gold Coast, Australia

Leopold's Treat recently took home the award for 'Emerging Artist of the Year' in the Gold Coast Music Awards, and are pretty excited about that. In a recent review of their single 'Cold River', Anthony Gebhardt (Blank GC) drew parallels to the vibe of the Waifs and concluded "one is left bathing in a warm glow as the sun sets and the cold river washes over and invigorates ones musical soul”. ... more
